The winning recipes were by Ms Shirly John for Soya Chunk Milk Payasam, Dr Ranjeeta Sarangi for Rice Payasam, Mrs Jenitha for Dates & Badam Payasam, Mrs Shabana Sathar for Pineapple Payasam, Mrs Prazeeniya Nishad  for Mixed Fruits & Vegetables Payasam and Mrs Rathi P. Menon for Kadalapparippu Payasam.

Speaking at the event, Ananth AV, Regional Director of Lulu Hypermarkets, Oman said,” Onam is a festival celebrated with a lot of fervour by our Malayali customers and is one of those unique festivals that are celebrated with most number of cultural elements like the vibrant flower decoration, the lavish food preparation, etc. The Payasam contest is Lulu’s way of showcasing that celebration and festive spirit while letting our customers indulge in some great preparations.”

Lulu always pre-empts the customer’s needs especially season specific needs and offers them at the best prices possible. Many customers were seen stocking up on all the ingredients required for the Sadya which were available at a bargain.
